How do I cover up leaving a short term job?

A year ago, I was at a job where, I was let go during my probationary period (4 months)...I was in a dysfunctional situation and my boss felt I wasn't keeping up. The employer (H.R.) was really good about letting me go, they fixed the paper work to say that I quit, so I could be eligible for rehire at this major company. Anyway, what should I say on an application when they ask what's the reason for me leaving. I need to make it look good. I can't tell them the truth so what are some good cover up words?

  1. The best answer for this is

( no opportunity for full time employment. )

in the interview  tell  hr person  (  I have a family i need to provide for   it just wasn't the right job opportunity for me at this time )

I hope this works for you.

note: family can be anybody your  *mom .

or  the  wife or girl friend or both , lol  , just be sincere about it !

so prove to yourself go out and  get a better job !!! that pay's more.

  2. You do not have to cover up anything as the paperwork says you quit. The new prospective employer does not know that you were not employed following your probationary period there.

The main reasons why most people leave one job for another are:

    Better pay

    Better benefits and amenities

    Promotional prospects and career advancement

    Job satisfaction

    Change in career and occupation

  3. You always tell the truth.

"I was in my probationary period with the company and I could see it was not a good match for either of us so I moved on."

  4. I have this situation on my resume.  My employment consultant has described them as "Contract" rather than permanent, full time, part time, whatever.
