  1. yeah i know what you mean. when you tap it, tap it lightly until you can crack it. then open it carefully and you shouldn't get the tiny bits of shells in the egg

  2. us the back of a knife and go all aroung the egg until it has a round crack.this way you don't use as much force in cracking it and the crack marks are secured. if you just tap iot and crack shells get cracked on all sides which falls on the egg.

  3. The best way to do this is practice.  Don't be too scared of the egg.  Tap once, firmly, on a flat countertop or cutting board - edges of bowls or pans drive the eggshell into the egg.

While you are practicing, don't crack the egg directly into the dish you are preparing.  Instead, crack it into a separate bowl - then you can pick out any rogue bits of shell.  Even pro chefs do it this way!

  4. The best way is to gently tap your egg on the counter, not on a sharp edge or corner. You have larger fractures in the shell instead of smashing a small spot resulting in tiny fragments which get into your eggs. But, as others have said you can crack eggs on the edge of a pot or pan with lots of practice and not get shells in the eggs, most of the time. Shells in eggs just happen even to us professionals. To get a piece of shell out of your egg easily, take a half of a cracked egg and dip the shell near the piece you are trying to fish out. Scoop the tiny piece of shell out of the egg and it will take it right out very easily. Sometimes it may take 2 attempts but, thats ok you'll get it.

  5. I tap mine on the flat top of the counter because if you do it on the corner it indents the shell into the egg. Nothing is fool proof but this works best for me..

  6. Tap it lightly on the edge of the cooking bowl. Then spread the cracked shell gently.

  7. very easily you crack on a table as opposed to a bowl

  8. Very Carefully.....lol

No im j/k.....I dont usually have that problem....you can try cracking them a little harder on the side of a bowl or pan ......

  9. practice my friend

  10. I can honestly say I crack at least 50 eggs per day...I tap them gently on the counter as to not make to many fractures.and pull the shells apart...also crack them away from where you are going to deposit them.never on the edge of the bowl.

  11. Lightly strike the egg against the edge of the bowl and pull away quickly.  Pry it apart, after awhile this should be a one handed operation.  The shell is good for you anyway so don't worry about picking every spec out.

  12. Use a sharper edge to crack against, and practise :)
