How do I create a Direct Local Area Network between windows xp & windows vista? Please describe it step by step.

  1. Buy a cross-over cable and connect it to two machines. Typically, that is all. (enable your Local Area Connection).


  2. Do what johnathan said, that should work, if that doesnt, buy a router, and connect both computers to the router, but if you use a router you need patch cables instead of crossover cables.
