How do I create a FREE .com ex.(mileyworld.com)?

Question

i wanna make a fan site with nothing in the url that isn't the name ex. I don't want this: blah.synthasite.com so.......any thoughts?

Its not free but its much cheaper than you might think. I got one free with the purchase of space for $60/year or about $5/month. The space was big enough for several websites.

I got it in the basic/home package from 1and1.com. So far, their service has been a bargain.

You will never get a completely free .com. They don't exist!

The same way you get a free anything that's only available if you pay for it - you can't.  ICANN doesn't give free domain names (and they're the only place domain names come from, regardless of which registrar you buy the name from) - *someone* has to pay for them.

Well the reason why you don't want a free .com is because some webhosting companies file your domain themselves so they can maintain the rights in some cases and they will sell it back to you for big bucks if it is successful. Even some companies you pay for will do it as well.

File the domain yourself its only $1.99. After that you need webhosting that rangers from $5.99 and up depending on plans and needs.

Free, ya right. Don't be cheap it costs more in the long run.

You cant have a feww one, but they normally cost about 10 bucks a year
