How do I create a mythical/fantasy forest bedroom

Question

I want to make a bedroom that looks like a bedroom from a fantasy novel. If you've seen Lord of the Rings, think a bedroom that looks like Rivendell. I want a room that feels as though I'm in the middle of the woods, and in the midst of nature.

If possible, I don't want dollar store "leaves" strewn about the room. I want something that looks real and feels like the mind and sight are in the same place.

The Lord of the Rings sprang to mind with me too. The scene where the elves travelled through the forest singing, how wonderful! You could use actual photos taken from woodlands to be authentic.
