  1. With professional equipment.

Camcorders the pros typically use are:

    Sony HVR-V1U, HVR-Z1U, Canon XHA1, XL2, GL2, Panasonic DVX100B, HDX200. Add lenses and filters if needed.

Audio is captured offboard (not camcorder audio) with pro-grade mics. Shotgun mics, wireless lavaliers, stereo mics... into an audio cature systme - like DigiDesign's ProTools.

Add lighting, makeup, wardrobe, electrical... camera cranes, dollys, tripods, stabilizer devices... and don't forget the hard work that goes into writing a script, storyboarding, creating the shot list, finding locations, getting permits, finding and hiring talent... permission for music (unless it is original), there is a LOT more, but this is a good start...

  2. Well, ill give you a way you can do it. If you have a professinal camera, well your good to go on that part! But if not, use a camera that can record in 24p. This makes it look more like film. Next hopefully you have XLR inputs or even just a mic jack. Dont use the internal mic! External mic's give you better quality. Finally, before you film, plan out the angle your shots will be and how the camera will look. Good movies have angles that give depth and cameras that move. Hope I helped!
