How do I create a will?

I truly have no idea where to start. My kids are 7 and 10 and my husband and I do not have a will. Where do I go to do this? Do I need an attorney, can you just write your own will and have it notarized? Please help and remember that I am totally clueless on this topic.

  1. no you don't need a lawyer you can write down where you want everything to go and have it notarized but you know if you go first it goes to your husband and if he goes first it goes to you but with kids that young you need to go see a lawyer and decide where they are going to go being that young if you both go now you should make sure what relative they could go to and if you have money you should have a trust fund for them and a certain amount to go to the person who is going to raise them you see with children that young you need to go to a lawyer I'm on disability and have had 3 heart attacks and many other health problems so my wife will most likely out live me so she will get whats left except my drag racing car a 1996 camaro Z28 LT1 5.7 that will be put in storage until my 5 year old grandson turns16 my daughter will make  sure that happens but i still have it wrote down and notarized and depending on where you live the laws are always different

  2. you already know what to do, lack of confidence

  3. you can write it, but its better to video tape it, just make a list of things you want to happen if you die, and say them out on camera. its more common than writing it now (somebody could change it).

  4. go to solictor
