How do I create this hairdo?

Okay... so I know how to create a puff in the front of my hair, however, I'm going out for a friend's birthday and the theme is Rock star. I really love the hairdo where there is a puff in the front and the sides are slicked back, but the hair is left down in the back. I wish I had a picture, but I couldn't find one. Can anyone help?

just do the puff thing as usual. then tease your hair. next take either hairspray or mousse and slick back the sides. lastly , if your hair isnt teased enough tease it more lol

We call that a "poof". And I suggest doing said poof, then pinning the hair on the sides of your heads back. Use boby pins with cute little rhinestones or that are a cool color, and put them in an "X" shape on the back of your head to keep your hair back. Then, take some gel (but no alot!), and slick it back even more.

The puff is created by sectioning a part off about an inch or so across your bang area, pull it down and leave in alone.  Behind it tease the c**p out of your hair it creates a base to where you pull back that section over top of it and it lays on top.   The bigger you tease that, the higher the puff.  The section you pull over easily hides the mess underneath that you teased.
