Question:

How do I crochet this?

I'm working on this:

But I can't figure out what is meant in Round 8. Can Someone thoroughly what I am to do?

  1. From what I understand, this is what the blogger meant:

    You are starting row 8.  You want to make 4 chains.  Then skip the next 3 single crochet stitches.  In the 4th single crochet, you want to make a single crochet.  You have just created a loop.

    Then you just want to single crochet into each remaining stitch until you get back to the loop.  When you get back to the chain loop, you want to crochet 4 more single crochet stitches in that same loop.  Then cast off, and I think the blogger wants you to put eyes on each side of the loop.  This loop will eventually be where the trunk is for the elephant.  You will crochet the trunk later in her instructions from the loop area.

    To be absolutely certain though, try emailing the creator of the pattern.  Very cute pattern.
