I accidentally spilled bleach on my hard wood floor and and the color is lightened.

  1. I would try some murphys oil soap,,, It might take a few applications.


  2. You can't "spot treat" hardwood floors, it's not like carpet. You should just leave it alone until your done, and want to refinish the floors. The way to do this is, you call in a flooring guy. He sands the place, cleans, stains, and lays down about 2 more coats of polyurethane. Hope that helps!

  3. Depending on the quality of the finish on the rest of your floor, I would consider using coffee grinds.

    Rub the damp grinds (from the coffee maker - used) onto the spots and then seal with a light coat of polyeurethane (spelling).  If the floor does not have a gloss finish, the poly will make it flash, so you may want to consider a similar colored crayon  and rub it onto the spots - wax out your entire floor and you may not notice the difference!
