How do I deal with living with someone I don't like?

I just can't stand living with my cousin (20). I feel like she is using my family for the benefits, such as money and house. I just can't stand her personality, her voice sounds fake and she is putting a lot of stress on me ever since she moved here and I just want her to leave even though it might might not be the best for her. What should I do? Should I ignore, if that is even possible, since she might be living with us for a couple of years.

She just moved with us not too long ago. She ran away from home then came here. To me it just doesn't feel right since she started living with my family. Her life is a complete mess; her stepfather did "things" to her and no one approves of her boyfriend.

  1. It is up to your parents to set limitations on her, set ground rules and make her adhere to them, not you.

You need to talk to your parents and let them know how you feel, from your heart.

  2. Teenage years are difficult and at this age, you're very vulnerable.  I think you may be upset that things have changed in your family.

You need to have some compassion for your cousin.  She was in a bad situation and your parents are trying to help out.  Try to think how you would feel if you had to leave your parents and move in with another family member?  Think of all she has gone through?

You need to do some growing up here.  Try to be nice to her.  You may find she's a great person.
