How do I decorate my bedroom without spending to much time or money?

My room has white, stained up walls and right behind the door it has uneven wall putty filling a hole in the wall AND a new hole over top it in the shape of a door lock. My floors are a dark wood that's scratched up so much you can barely tell what color it was. My bed is a twin with no headboard, because I took it off. (It was bulky and ugly). I have a 6 drawer vanity dresser with a mirror. I also have a matching end table, desk, and a 5 drawer standing dresser. They all look like they came from a 7 year olds room. (Lavender with butterflies screwed to the tops) I also have a gray tea table that has my T.V. on it. (It was meant for me when I was 5). I was hoping to make my room brown with a powder blue foot tall stripe going around it at chair rail height. My dad won't do the stripe, but seemed kind of alright with peel off wall deco. He's going to get me new curtains next month. I was thinking panels in a brown/blue stripe pattern. Any cheap, quick ideas?

  1. put a nice colorful sheet on top of surfaces that aren't so attractive. for example a nice twin flat sheet over a computer desk that has a lot of imperfections

  2. I will send you some pictures to give you an idea, perhaps you could recover the head board with a bit of batting and nice fabric , you need a staple gun to do this it's easy and your dad could help you with it , you don't need a lot of money to fix a room but you ned to be creative and make do with the things that you have already, perhaps a good coat of paint will revive your dresser and table . Here is one photo for now ,I will look for others so keep checking my answers.

This picture has pink and brown ,but you could do blue and brown if you like ,
