I have an MMA match coming up where I am fighting a monk. Apparently he is versed in 'death touch' style. This worries me as no matter what my attack is; I will die.

How do I fight a person without touching them?

  1. Wow, how long did it take you to make up this load of c**p, I will guess all night. First off, there is no such thing as "death touch" and second off, Monks dont do mma. Monks dont believe in violence, that is why they are monks, they seek a life of simplicity and peace. Why dont you get off your video games and join the real world.

  2. I doubt you're fighting an actual Monk. They don't fight for sport or compete in forums, especially like an MMA/UFC type competition.

Secondly, Dimmak (death thouch) is applied by one person to the other via finger strikes, it's not something that you apply to yourself by touching them.

My advice? Avoid stupid pointless fights for no reason other than to prove how hardcore you are, and spend that time on a better resource - training.

  3. just shoot him

  4. kick him in the head then procced to hammer fist and punch him until the match stop... just my suggestion

  5. lol, by laughing at them?

  6. Always have one big toe pointing up and one pointing down the "master" himself george dillman says that will work AND IT MUST BE TRUE IT WAS ON YOU TUBE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ROTFLMAO

Who says there is no humour in MA?

  7. Obviously you can't.  And obviously there is no such thing as a "death touch", any more than you can be hit with a "chi blast".

What there are, and what this monk probably is skilled in, is nerve strikes and pressure points.

I suggest familiarizing yourself with the most common areas for pressure point strikes (particularly when it comes to grappling).  I know there are a few around most joints, and several around the neck.

  8. death touch..."dim mak" in chinese is just the term they use to describe pressure point and nerve strikes. which are mostly illegal in mma matches so don't worry. ...i seriously doubt any monk would enter a mma match though. so i kind of doubt that you have a match coming up as well. i may be wrong. but monk's don't fight for money or honor. infact they are not allowed (yes...allowed) to fight unless it is strictly self defense. or an exhibition.

even then the "death touch" isnt breaking a brick, and it isnt a hammerfist to the chest like you will see on tv. and "death" is not necessarily literal. it is used because theoretically if you knock someone out, it produces the image of death....ie unconciousness. and the famed "delayed death touch" is more like..you hit someone in certain places hard enough, and their kidneys shut down....obviously way back when, they'd die a few days or weeks later. nothing mystical about it.

how do you fight a person without touching them? ...dont fight them at all. avoid the situation alltogether. you win, they win, and you don't touch them.

  9. if there was such a thing as a death touch or even an immobilizing one then the likes of rampage jackson and george st pierre would not be such dominant forces in the ufc it would be some wee lad about 3 stone with a bad haircut and one tooth!!!

truth is if you grab your opponent and slam him too the floor and start pounding on his head the last thing he`ll be thinking about is pushing his little finger into an area the size of a small coin

good luck mate and trust in your own ability

  10. ROTFL .......... they let kindergardener's fight in MMA cage matches?  That's news to me.
