How do I delete an item from the address bar? (Doing this and deleting the history is different... I know)?

If you are using Internet Explorer click on Tools, Internet Options, Content, Auto Complete. Then clear forms. This will erase the search history. If you don't want things showing up again then deselect the auto complete options at the top of the page. Be sure to select ok at the bottom. Clearing the history only deletes sites visited and doesn't clear the search history in the search bar

Just the same. Just delete the history from the Internet options, clear history.
