How do I delete an operating system? ?

I have two different operating systems on my computer. I want to delete the old one and keep the new one. How do I do this? When I turn on my computer, the screen is black and it always asks me to choose which OS to start on. I want to delete the old one and just keep the new one. I don't know if there on different partitions, in fact I don't even know what that is lol so can someone help me please?

Most likely you have 2 different partitions. If this is the case then, you cannot delete one operating system unless you delete both at the same time. If you choose to do this then you will have to format both partitions and remove the 1 partition so that you will only have 1 partition with all the space.
