How do I delete email from my "group mail" once I have read it?

I just can't seem to find the word "delete" anywhere. I'm not real familier with "yahoo groups" but I am a memeber of one and I do have a lot of mail that goes back to like 1999............why is it not automaticall deleted? Can't this gum up the sysytem? How can I delete mail?

You can delete messages from your own mailbox, but if you go to the group to read them, you can't delete them there unless you are the group owner. You can click "Edit My Groups" to choose whether group messages are emailed to you.

if we're talking e-mail provider- one would need to know which that is.

if we're talking while on the group, yahoo groups archive all posts and they only are deleted when someone physicaly goes and deletes them.

you can only delete your own posts: locate a post and click it open- to the left you will see Reply | Forward | Delete click the delete- if you're a group member you'll have to delete them one at a time

**as long as the archives are open, Yahoo allows 'members' to delete their own posts- I do it all the time
