How do I delete my Facebook acount?

Go yo where it says account.  Click on that and it will give you the option to delete your account but, asks you to give reasoning behind the cancellation.

You need to email them to actually cancel it.

Deactivating only stops others from visiting it.

You can deactivate it by logging in, then clicking on account, scroll down until you see "Deactivate", and click on it. It'll give you like a list of why you want to deactivate it, then just check the one that explains, and hit deactivate.

If you'd go to your Account Settings, there should be a link to deactivate your account.
