My HP is slowing up. I thought it might help if I deleted my web history?

I know how to delete on at a time. I must have a thousand things to delete though.

  1. Click control H on your keyboard and click on the folders that say the days and click delete and it deletes for you.

  2. Like Lucy said click on "Tools" scroll down to "Clear Private Data" click. from there you can delete Cookies, Browser History, Cache and Authenticated sessions.

  3. I'm using windows XP so I'm not sure if this applies to yours or not but here goes anyway.

Tools > Delete Browsing History.  This should open a window with options. You should also delete cookies and temporary internet files as they also can slow down your computer. I do this each time I'm on the internet for very long. Keeping your email cleaned up as well as your recycle bin should also help.

You can also use disc cleanup and defragment if the other suggestions don't help. Look for these functions in All Programs > Accessories > System Tools.

Also be sure you haven't gotten a virus. If all else fails, upgrade your RAM or get a new computer.

  4. Tools

    Internet Options

    Browsing History

    Delete all...Cookies, and history
