Open tools above and enter inet options. Use the clear history tab.

For Internet Explorer:Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.

If Internet Explorer 7 go to TOOLS (top right), select INTERNET OPTIONS. Click  on the  DELETE button under Browsing HISTORY then click on DELETE HISTORY, then select OK.

if on a yahoo browser go to tools, then internet options. click delete cookies, delete history..and for a permanent resolution you can adjust how often your computer deletes your history!
