How do I delete shortcuts on my Ipod Touch??

I'm sick of seeing the weather thing, or stocks cuz I dont have wi-fi. How do I delete their desktop image?

On mine i press and hold on the app icon and wait til it wiggles and a small x should come on the picture and just press it.when your done press home button

sorry, you can't delete those.  They are permanently on your home page ... desktop ... thing.

I agree with the others, it's impossible to delete those icons, the little x only works for shortcuts or bought apps.  However, you have more than one screen on your touch, so move them all to a second screen and you'll never have to see them again.  Touch an icon and hold until they all wiggle, then drag it right, until a new screen comes up.  Now push the black button at the bottom and swipe back - no more icon!

You can't delete those because they come with the iPod.
