How do I delete the new Homepage and return to the old one?

The new page is 'in your face' with popping and unwelcome financial adverts at the top of the page thus obscuring more important data such as Mail etc. Theoretically I can only add modules and change columns. In practice I cannot even alter columns and cannot delete anything. I use Mac OSX 10.4.9 and Mozilla Firefox.

the default will need to be changed to the prefered one.

I think you're stuck with it. I resisted their prompts to update my homepage for ages, then all of a sudden, one day i logged on and it was there. Bah! You'll get used to the new one. Some bits are better.
