I just tried a Lemon-aid with made with fresh jalapenos.

I told my friend about this "spicy lemonaide" and he was thinking it had vinegary/salty hot sauce in it... because he'd never had fresh jalapeno. It was spicy, but zesty, crisp and refreshing. How do I describe this great spicy taste better?

  1. A beautifully fresh and natural crisp taste with a spicy zinger!

  2. "lemon heat" - spicy, zesty, crisp and refreshing..........

hope this helped.               good luck and enjoy.

  3. It is like a "kick it to the curb" lemonade. Average lemonade is merely refreshing. Jalapeno infused lemonade packs a subtle kick that sends a revitalizing jolt to the system. It's electric lemonade for a new generation of thirst.

  4. You may have already answered your own question here. I think zesty, and crisp can replace spicy while still retaining the sense of the word spicy. Especially when describing a drink.

One other thought: Instead of trying to describe the "spicy" taste to your friend, maybe you could try to describe the feeling you had from drinking the lemon-aid.

  5. Lemonade is sour, tangy the perfect mix between sweet and sour...the jalapeno i guess would add the strong bold, spiciness. so it's sweet sour and spicy.

  6. WHY?

  7. Clean, crisp heat with a subtle fresh grassy flavor.

("grassy" communicates the fresh flavor as opposed to a cooked/pickled/canned veggie flavor)

  8. Lemonade with a non-alcoholic kick!  It will both make you thirsty and quench your thirst!

Other spicy drinks to reference:  Ginger beer, bloody marys, spicy tomato juice

  9. tell the friend if he/she tries this lemon-aid w/fresh jalapenos it will burn her mouth and she would give the recipe to everybody
