How do I detect a website's IP number, using Windows Dos?

  1. When you are at a dos prompt there are two different ways you can find a web server's ip address.  If I want to find the ip address of google, I could type ping google.com, and that will give you the ip address.  You can also type nslookup, press enter, and type google.com and press enter. This will give you all the ip address of that server, not just one.
