Question:

How do I disable Yahoo! video ads?

Background: I'm working off a slow internet connection. These annoying video or flash ads keep loading rather than responding to other links being clicked. Basically I am stuck on the Yahoo! homepage because the top news items and the main ad keep reloading, rather than allowing the information for the link I have clicked to download. I have to go to google to get to yahoo! mail. Is there a way to change my preferences to disable video/flash ads on Yahoo! or should I accept that Yahoo!'s new advertising philosophy isn't user friendly for a slow internet connection and I should just move to another service?

  2. See how to disable flash content in your browser

  3. If you use  mozilla firefox  you can get a flashblock plug in.

Someone on yahoo answers told me about it the other day and it works well :)  and only takes a few seconds to download and  install.
