How do I disable my firewall on my computer?

im trying to play xbox live but i cant cause the firewall.

If it is windows firewall that is in network connections. Right click the connection, and go to the advanced tab. From there you disable the firewall. If it is through your router then you need to forward the port that the xbox is using. A little more advanced so I'll answer how to do that if that is what you have going on.

You can do:

Start -> Help and Support

and enter "disable firewall" in the search field. It will come up with the solution for your specific operating system.

Go to your tray and look for the icon for your firewall, as you don't state the name.  Right click and when the icon open you will either see, "exot", or "shut down firewall".  Take your choice and your firewall will be shut down.  

You can restore just by opening the ICON in your monitor.
