It used to be that you could flush it or put it down the garbage disposal, but I've heard you can't do that anymore. What should I do with the expired meds?

  1. Meds last for years!

Take it to a clinic that dispenses meds to patients who cant afford them.  Like st vincent de paul, free clinics, Health point, etc.   theres hundreds and thousands of lists of these on the net or at your local y or salvation army or charity org. or social services may know.   Volonteer of america. com may have a site for that. but dont get rid of them til you check into the many many people you see struggling to get their breath and cant. ..asthma etc..

    check it out!

  2. I am a licensed pharmacy technician and NO, medications do not last for years. They all have expiration dates on them. Some meds. become toxic after a certain time, some just lose the effect altogether. You need to take them either to a hospital, or to a pharmacy and they will destroy the meds. according to their policy. DO NOT give your meds. to someone else. It's not only dangerous, but illegal.

  3. your meant to take it to a chemist, they dispose of it for free for you, and safely
