  1. Pull the hair back into a pony tail.  Then you're going to take the hair and twist it around the ponytail.  Try to go for the cinnamon bun look not the doggie tail.  If you're bun is sticking out if you look at her from the side it's because when you twisted it and pinned it you put it all in one place.  It's got to spread out (not so that it's all over her head) but in a nice round circle.  Use plenty of pins and hairspray.  Then to put on the hairnet, just spread it out and put it on the bun.  If it's a little big, twist it (like you would for a hair scrunchie) and loop it over the bun a second time.  Usually it doesn't need any pins to stay in, but just to be safe, put one or two hair pins to keep the hair net on.  Sorry, this is really confusing and probably doesn't make any sense but hope it helps.  Good luck!

  2. ok... well here's how i do it-

first i smooth all my hair back into a pony tail.  if she has bangs then pin them back. then secure with a hair elastic. then twist her hair and coil it into a bun.  at this point either secure with bobby pins or with a hair elastic.  then take the air net and wrap it around her bun  couple times, and secure with bobby pins.  hair spray the head.  usually hair stays in better if it hasnt been just washed, so if possible go a 2 days without washing her hair.

and im sure that when you get to the recital there will be people, like other moms or older dancers, who can help out.

    good luck!
