How do I do a "classy club" or casino night feel for my bat mitzvah party?

You know, New York-feel, mocktails, the like.

My problem is that I have a low budget and it will be held during lunchtime (thus, daylight instead of moonlight). Any suggestions? Solutions? Thanks. I really, really appreciate it.

Have the tables be games such as "21" "Pinaccle" "Jin Rummy" "Craps". Get a poker table and chips in addition to a D.J. Have the centerpieces be big cardboard dice and/or big cardboard playing cards.

Maybe you should cover the windows or something so it feels like its night-time. Maybe you could get some moon-and-star, New York decals to put on the walls?

even though it is during the day make them feel like it is night through lighting.  have some mild colored lights and just a class look through silky drapes.  have the center pieces be plastic martini glasses filled with marbles or a candle.

have the party favors be a mixed cd with your picture on the case :)

all should be pretty cheap!
