How do I do gothic pigtails?

The problem is, I don't know how to get them all poofy..

take a section of your hair from the side of your hear, just above your ear, and tie it back into a pigtail. then, take hairspray and backcomb it (basically, just tease it) . repeat on the other side, adn tada!
