Question:

How do I do the training?

I want to try this technique with my twins daughters - http://www.natural-wisdom.com/ . It's Diaper Free, it teaches babies not to get used to pee and poo in their pants but pee and poo on the potty (not the toilet - the potty) since they are a few months old and then when they start walking, they are fully potty trained and don't need this potty training process. My friend J has done this with his daughter, starting from age 13-months (she was fully trained at 14 months and never had an accident after that, considering that while training her, he was going to work too). Also, my mother has done this with me and my siblings and none of us had problems later. I'm just worried if I could do it with twins. How do I do it? Train one and then another? Train them together? It's not even training by the way. They recommend starting after birth. I think starting when they can walk is better. It would take less time for them to go to the potty alone (around 12 months old). How do I procedure?

  1. I think personally try and do them together if you feel you are up to it this way - although they are young! They are learning from each other seen as it has worked for your mother and your friends I'm sure you will be fine just as long as they get lots of cuddles and encouragement from their mummy !

    Good luck .x

  2. I love EC training.  I have gotten tons of people to try it and they love it too.  I HIGHLY recommend the book "The Diaper Free Baby" as there is a little blurb about a lady who potties her twin babies and it also explains a huge variety of levels to EC at, one will be perfect for you.  Perhaps you will want to only potty them once a day (first thing in the morning) until 12 months, that is great and will make a difference.  I started at 4 1/2 months.  I think that EC is easier with cloth diapers, so consider them.  I transitioned into cloth gradually over four months and still use disposable at night (11 months old).  I use walmart prefolds and prowrap covers.  The laundry isn't that hard, I thought it would be.  I've only had a few soiled diapers since I started solids at 9 months which is why I made the big switch to cloth at that point.

At first I used a toilet insert to potty my baby and a when she started unrolling the toilet paper, lol, we moved to a baby bjorn little potty.  I potty her after she eats and when she wakes up morning or nap and that is enough, I don't want it to be overwhelming.  When the babies are old enough to sit, but not crawl you can just set each of them on a potty at diaper changes while you get  the new diapers ready and it will take hardly any time at all to EC.  Keep reading on the internet, there are so many helps, I love it.  Here is a sample of the great articles available.

  3. after reading about it, i like the IDEA of it, i just don't think it's practical to expect that from baby or mother.  However - if you know ppl who have done it, ask them their advice

  4. I personally dont agree with the program but if your mom did it and your friend did it, ask them how they would attempt it with 2 babies. They did it with one maybe you guys can come up with a game plan for two babies.
