Just have your anti virus on and if you're using limewire, never download a song with the title of exactly what you typed in as you typed it.  Also, make sure that the file is the size of an actual song, 5,000kb or 5mb.  AVG anti virus is free and will catch almost any virus before it can do harm.

download Ares so far doesn't come with  virus,you can find any song you want and its free,

just download song check which folder you downloaded the song into,

then open itunes ctrl+O and find the song,

add it to library

then sync to ipod and your good to go =)

same for videos but you gotta convert them to mp4 in order to play them in your ipod
