I have a card reader-writer and hook it up to my computer, and it downloads the videos onto my computer. However, I can't play the videos once I've taken the card reader out. Is there a certain program I should download the videos into? Am I missing a step? Please help! Thanks.

  1. You need a software that plays these kind of video files (3GP files). First you need to convert to a file type (AVI or MPG) then you play it on your PC.

Visit http://www.free3gptoavien.glt.pl/ to get the software for free.

  2. well it depends on what type of video file i believe.  try right-clicking the file and go to "open with" and try different programs (Quicktime, Windows Media Player, etc.) and see what works

  3. click on "my computer" you should see your card reader there among all other drives on your system. Choose the card reader whatever its named and double click on it. Navigate to the folder where your pictures are located..choose the ones you want, then click on them and drag them onto your desktop. once they are there you can double click to play them with windows media player.

If windows media player doesnt open them, I highly recommend that you search google for "VLC media player" and download it..its free and has no spyware...it will play all of your media files flawlessly.
