How do I download youtube videos to my mp3 player?

I have a Philips GoGear 8GB mp3 player and I'm kinda confused on how you download videos. The instruction manual says that after you install the arcsoft mediaconverter program, which I have, you need to install a FLV codec. It says "To enjoy the full benefits of this new feature and to avoid the conversion error messages, install the 'FLV codec' on your PC. (Tip: If you enter 'download FLV codec' in your internet search engine, you can find websites that offer a download of the FLV codec.)"

I tried google-ing "download flv codec" but some of the sites come up as red on my McAfee site advisor. Can anyone explain a bit more about this codec and give me a link to a safe site to download it from?
