How do I drain the radiator on a v6 3400 2003 Chevy impala? ?

I am having a problem locating a drain plug to flush out my radiator. There seems to be some kind of block or barrier to prevent damage from the road. So I cant fully see the bottom of the radiator. Any info would be great, thanks.

The c**k should be on the bottom of the radiator, or coming out the back side of it, towards the bottom. If you cant find the drain c**k, you can always take the bottom hose off.

the easiest way is to take the lower radiator hose off the water pump housing neck.

The splash panels should be removable, however most coolant should be contained, recovered and returned in a sealed container to a recycling center or HazMat disposal site. The vehicle may require a specific type coolant to prevent degradation of the different metals it contacts in the cooling system. Be sure to have the vehicle inspected closely for seepage around the intake manifold gaskets near the ends front and rear. These engines are known to have issues with intake manifold gasket leakage at the coolant passages and leakage into the crankcase from those areas.

The drain valve should be on the driver's side radiator tank at the bottom facing the engine. It is made from the same plastic resin material as the radiator tanks

i have never seen the bottom of that model car, is there a way to remove that skid plate ( clips, screws, bolts etc).

once it out of the way you should see the drain valve, have a pan ready.
