How do I drain the water?

I need to seal the tile. I need to drain the water 6 inches below the skimmer. How do you drain the water?

place a hose in the water....suck on the other end until the water starts to flow.....or rent a pump from a pool supply store

Siphon it but I can tell you right now a garden hose will be too hard unless you have the jaws of a mule. Go to the Hardware store and get some 3/8ths to 1/2 inch clear plastic tubing.

    This is going to take some time so be prepared. Make sure the tubing is plenty long enough and below the level that you're siphoning from......If you can borrow a pump from somebody, all the better.
