soo ive been dying my hair different shades of auburn/burgundy for the past 3 years and now i want to dye it a very light brown. the problem is i heard that if you put red tones into your hair you have to put stuff in it to take it out like you cant just dye over it. is that true? and if so what is that stuff called? i know most people are going to tell me to go to a profesional but idk if i can afford it, does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost? thanks in advance =D

  1. Hello, I'm a stylist.  Getting rid of red color is hard but is can be done.  First get an artificial color remover such as Color Oops and you can get that from a drugstore.  There is also a product called red be gone.  It is something that you add to your color to take the red out while you are coloring.  The color you choose to put on your hair after you remove the red should be an Ash tone to ensure that it will not turn red.  At most salons color procedures start at $70.  I hope this help and feel free to message me for more instruction!
