How do I earn points?

you get 100 points to start out with for joining. then for each question you answer you will get two points or 10 more if you get picked as best answer for that question. you get a point if you vote an answer (by someone else) and give them a thumbs up but you will not be able to do that until you're in the 2nd level. asking a question however will cost you 5 points, but if you choose a best answer for it you'll get 3 back if you click on yourself to look at your profile it has this info and more within it.

You earn points by answering questions, voting, and signing in once a day.

Answer a question - 2 points

Voting for an answer - 1 points

Starting Y! Answers (one time) - 100 points

Choose a Best Answer for a question - 3 points

Best Answer - 10 points

Thumbs-Up for your best answer - 1 points per thumbs-up

You also get points deducted for some other actions.

Ask a question - -5 points

Deleting an answer - -2 points

Be aware: as you increase in your level, you are able to answer more questions and ask more questions.

Level 4 - 2,500 points

Level 5 - 5,000 points

Level 6 - 10,000 points
