heres my deal, I'm helping some one move tomorrow, and I told them to empty their washer before I came to move it. they are stuck on how to empty it, and I said I would try to figure it out for them and call them back with directions. So I need someone to maybe please help me with some directions on how to empty a kenmore elite washing machine. I'm not sure if they are all the same or different since I have no idea either, but any ideas would be great. thanks.

  1. I'm wondering why it did not empty itself after running the last load.

Maybe the drain hose needs to be in a different position. I once had a washer that wouldn't drain if the hose was allowed to fall on the floor. I had to tie it up, and let it drain into the wash-tub, instead of the floor drain.

Other than that, use a bucket or a large cup that will fit into the washer and repeatedly take cups of water out.

  2. remove all the water inside it

  3. there should be a plug on the back or a hose connection, just pull the plug and it should drain, or connect a hose and open the valve.

  4. It should have emptied on the last wash. If it didn't it is broken, so why are they moving it? In any case if it has to be emptied use a wet vac to suck the water out it.
