  1. take the mirror away if you have one in there. Also did you make sure to look under the feathers to see if they are not the same s*x lol

  2. you cant force them to mate, just wait and see if they want to or not. if they dont, and you still want them to mate, then i cant help you. choose some1 else as your best answer lol.

  3. same thing that im doing waiting, im sure sooner or later the birds will go in the box  and have eggs . =] hopefully i know how you feel to want those little baby budgies and have a parakeet family! but there are some things you can do to predict what will happen in the future.

Try to notice if the male courts the female this would be the male singing to the female, feeding and regurgitating food , and cleaning her but cleaning her usually happens after mating. Email me for any futher questions i hope i helped =]

  4. You don't mention where you live, but if it is in the northern hemisphere the natural mating season for budgies is springtime. Unless you are an expert who knows how to manipulate the lighting and environment correctly, your birds are unlikely to mate until then.

In addition, simply putting 2 budgies into a cage does not ensure that they will mate. Do you automatically mate with every member of the opposite s*x when you are in the same room? Some females will not like some males. Some females may simply not want to mate! They have minds of their own, so you should get used to that fact.

I suggest you go on line and do a LOT of research into breeding budgies. Breeding birds is not easy, no matter what you may have heard!

    Good luck.
