How do I ensure that my connecting flight is in a specific city?

I want to fly from Asia to the States, but I want to connect in Seattle and visit there for a day before moving on to my final destination. How can I arrange this?

Use any airline offering Seattle as the first US stop.  Most Asian Airlines do noe have onward domestic flights so the onward journey may be with one of their, code sharing, partner airlines.  

What you want to do is called a 'Stop-over' and is not unusual but you may have to pay a bit extra.  Make sure you have some arrangement for your stay such as transport and lodging.  You don'e want to arrive and find yourself sleeping at the Airport.

You cannot connect in Seattle on your way to the states, because when you get to Seattle you'll be there already.

Select an airline with operations in Seattle. Use a travel agent, call the airline directly, use the airline website or another travel website.
