Beauty pageants are not as big here as they are in some other countries. This is not because Canada does not have beautiful women...au contraire...but many Canadians feel that these types of contests are degrading to women, and so you hardly ever see pre-teens and teens "groomed" for beauty pageants like what happens in USA, for example. But they do exist...take a look at the second link I attached.

We also do have the pageants and send representatives to certain key contests, such as the Miss Universe. Attached is a bit more details.
