How do I erase a virus in the messenger that sends messages automatically

I already ran the antivirus and uninstall msn but it's still sending messages to my contacts with a file that is a virus

Try restarting your computer in Safe mode.

Then rescan your computer and see if that fixes it.

Get and try Spybot Search and Destroy. ( It works wonders. )
