I saw another unit in my building that had its parquet floor stained dark but the results were uneven and blotchy. What should I do to stop this from happening to my own?

  1. You really can't. It depends is it oak parquet or maple? Maple by far is harder to stain either its parquet or planks. Then parquet doesn't stain as evenly because of the glue they use to keep it together. It will stain darker by the glued areas and lighter over the "un-glued" areas. Hope that helps!
