On the downswing, I can't help moving shldrs/arms/chest - along with my hips. Everything moves at once. Any suggestions, for starting the downswing in the proper sequence? The results is a push fade or nasty slice with the driver.

  1. The  backswing sequence; a slight lifting of the lead foot as you draw the club back with both hands which initiates the knee, hip and torso coiling as the hands and arms carry the club to the top of the swing with the club head in line with the intended target.  The downswing sequence; Plant the lead foot which will start  the hand dropping, the hip and torso turning, with the wrists still ****** as the hands and arms follow the swing plane toward the ball with last second release of the wrists slightly before impact after which the club follows thru to the target as the body coils with the player's front facing the target.

  2. I think it should be the reverse of the take away.  I break it down in practice and lead the take away with the club head, hands, arms shoulder turn, and hips then on the down swing reverse it to hips, shoulders, arms, hands then club head. Practice it.
