How do I expand my philips iPod entertainment center?

I have a philips DC177 ipod entertainment center but i am not fully satisfied with the sound quality. the bass is really bad and the speakers are only 20W. The speakers are connected to the system with red/ black speaker wire. I also have a lot of good speakers from old stereo systems that have the same red/ black speaker wire. I really want to connect about 4-8 of those speakers to my system in addition to the ones that came with it, but the system only allows me to connect 2. Is there any way I can connect a lot of speakers to a system that only allows 2? Do they have splitters that can be connected to systems like mine?

  1. you can connect more speakers but they are only going to share the 20 watts.  go into the ipod and adjust the EQ (Main menu, settings EQ) until you get a little better sound.  i use Acoustic and that ups the bass and the treble for my ipod for generic music listening.  you may wnat to try different ones for your type of music and speaker system.  otherwise you cannot do much with the small philips system you have.
