How do I export my itunes library to a new computer (without having the files)? ?

ok so most of the stuff I have on my ipod doesnt exist on my computer anymore; but by keeping the files ticked in itunes it doesnt delete them from my ipod...

sooo... if I download itunes on my new computer and connect my ipod it will remove all the contents... and thats the problem

* if I export and import my library it'll just say that the files cant be found

any ideas?

  1. There's a great bit of software called Senuti (which is iTunes spelled backwards - for a very good reason) which allows you to transfer music from your iPod to your computer. This should solve all your problems.


  2. i think it's only possible if you have payed for all of your songs from itunes and not downloaded them off of limewire or something

  3. ya if you dont have the files on your comp it will say they cant be found and they wont work you will have to redownload
