How do I extend my remote control range?

I have an rc car but it goes out of range pretty quickly... is ther any way that I can extend it's range so that I can control it from farther away?

  1. increase the output power. if your at 100 mW now, that is the legal unlicensed limit. look at the r f power amps in airplane r c units


  2. You may use a radio booster that is powered separately and a longer antenna. Since there is no feedback involved from the chopper to the remote, you may easily boost your signal without worries.

  7. Yep - find out the frequency and buy a better controller and get a crystal with the same frequency and put it in the controller.

    Alternatively, and this will work, wire up an extra battery pack to your controller so it has more power. Just remember to take out the batts when you've finished with it.
