  1. Curl your eyelashes before you apply the mascara! A good way is to clamp the curler down several times while moving further away from the roots, so it doesn't just bend the lashes in one spot. When you curl your eyelashes after applying mascara, it can make them more prone to break or be yanked out when you pull the curler off which is never a good feeling!

You may also want to try a heated eyelash curling wand. It sounds scary, but it's not at all. Those can be used before and after mascara application (so long as your mascara has dried). They won't overheat and sephora makes an inexpensive one that works really well.

Cosmetic companies like MAC also make eyelash primer that will add volume before you apply mascara and it gives it better staying power as well.

  2. curl your lashes first them put on a dual mascara. The one with clear and color black mascara. Avon has it. The clear mascara is like a paste and make your lashes like thick and long then put on the black mascara to make it full. You don't need to curl again your lashes coz the wand of the mascara do the magic.

  3. curl your eyelashes first! run the eyelash curler under warm water to heat it up. curl your lashes in 3 spots gently but slightly firm for 5 seconds each: root, middle and tip. then apply the mascara. wiggle the wand from root to tip. wait 3 seconds. apply additional coat. you should be good after 2 coats. if needed, add additional coat. it is always better to add coats on while the lashes are still wet because otherwise the mascara just flakes off or gets clumpy.

  4. i think you should curl them before you start putting on the mascara. If you dont why dont you try a clear mascara first like when your gonna start try to curl first then apply the clear on and then after a few trys..go with the dark one. thats how i do mine!!! I hope this helped you.
