How do I fade the music on a certain video clip on Windows Movie Maker?

Im making a video that has music playing during it but theres a clip where people are talking and I want to turn the music down so you can hear them, how do I do it?

You can't do it directly within the clip - you need to split the music track. When the clip with the talking starts, that is where you want to split the Audio/Music clip. Make sure you have the Audio/Music track selected (just click on it).

Pause the playing at the appropriate point, then go to the Clip Menu and choose Split. The music track is now split.

Then right click on the part of Audio/Music track you want and choose Volume. Set what you want.

Repeat the process as needed.
