How do I figure out the height of a cylinder when i only know the volume and base?

please hep, I am trying to study for EQAO and was never taught how to figure out the height of a cylinder when i found out the volume and the base.

  2. well you know that V(volume)=Area of Base X height

    so just change the equation around and say

    Volume/Area of Base =Height

    what is EQAO?

  3. V =  Pi r^2 h  ::   h = v / Pi r^2

  4. Malcolm7 is correct.  The height is V/pi*r^2.

  5. the volume is the area of the base times the height. so divide the volume you have by the area of the base and that will give you the height.

  6. volume = area of base*height

    therefore

    height = volume/area of base
